The Micro-Vu PL-570 Automated Platen provides stable workholding for large, flat parts on Excel measuring machines.

• Holds thin parts flat and stationary

• Works with parts up to 5 mm thick

• For use on Excel 4120, 4220 and 4520 models

The platen is designed for parts that must be held flat and stationary, such as artwork, masks, and inner layers for printed circuit board. The automated hinge boasts 6 second open and close times and a large 120 millimeter opening for great accessibility.

The innovative design adds an advanced workholding solution for flat parts while preserving almost the entire working volume of the machine. The measuring area is reduced by only 15 millimeters on each side in the X axis only. The PL-570 can be added to any Excel 4120, 4220 or 4520 system at the factory or in the field.
