and an equal-opportunity employer.
COMPUTER ENGINEER
This is a computer engineering position. Applicant should have a computer engineering degree or equivalent. Applicant should have strong design and software skills. Applicant should have experience with Linux and embedded software.
Applicant will be expected to perform hardware design and write and maintain firmware and software for embedded electronics. Applicant should have experience working with engineering software and tools in a Linux environment.
Current projects include servo motion control and vision processing. CAN bus, eCOS, embedded Linux, Verilog/VHDL and C/C++ are used.
COMPUTER SCIENCE - JAVA / OPEN SOURCE
This position will involve writing software for both commercial resale, and in-house use. Commercial software projects include rewriting or porting the company's Windows-only software application to Linux and perhaps OS X. This application is used to control the measuring machines that the company makes and sells. Other projects include in-house applications to automate tasks for engineers and production, as well as back-end applications to deploy on the company's website. Committing work back to the community is almost always encouraged.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
This is a mechanical engineering position. Applicant should have a mechanical engineering (bachelor) degree or equivalent. Applicant should have strong design skills, plus some practical, hands-ons experience.
Applicant will be expected to perform solid modeling, drafting, analysis, and testing. This position also involves automated motion control, robotics, and machine vision.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (multiple positions)
Develop and maintain the electronics and firmware for the next
generation precision measurement systems. Require experience in motion
control design, electronics design, and firmware development.
Experience with real time systems, CAN, CANOpen, DSP programming, FPGA
design using HDL is helpful. Responsible for all stages of development
from initial research and design to prototyping to production.
Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required.
IT - NETWORK/COMPUTER ADMINISTRATOR
Proficient with Linux and open-source applications. Experienced and capable in administering Linux servers and desktops.
MACHINIST TRAINEE
Entry level position. Rapid advancement based on ability to learn
the trade.
MECHANICAL ENGINEER
This is a mechanical engineering position. Applicant should have a mechanical engineering (bachelor) degree or equivalent. Applicant should have strong design skills, plus some practical, hands-ons experience such as fabrication.
Applicant will be expected to perform solid modeling, drafting, analysis, and testing. This position also involves automated motion control, robotics, and machine vision.
MECHANICAL ENGINEER (multiple positions)
Responsible for the design and engineering of mechanical systems on new
products from concept through commercialization. Specifically, generate
initial concepts of design and determine their feasibility; build
parametric solid models of concepts to check for fits, clearances, and
functionality; calculate critical mechanical design parameters such as
material stresses and deflections in design in order to ensure a
reliable and cost effective design; generate production drawings in
accordance with all relevant measurements to include geometry,
materials, finishes, fits, and tolerances that are required to
manufacture each component in the design; produce bills of materials
for all designs and work with materials control and manufacturing to
provide costs on designs or redesigns; prototype designs to check for
feasibility and design verification; work with plant supervisors,
purchasing, and manufacturing engineering during all stages of the
design to ensure manufacturability of the design.
Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering required.
OPTICAL ENGINEER
Experience with microscopic optics, video and lasers used in measurement
applications.
SOFTWARE ENGINEER (multiple positions)
Develop and maintain company’s core metrology software, Inspec; improve
and enhance Inspec for higher control and accuracy of measurement
equipment; collect and process Inspec data to provide detailed analytic
reports on functionality and accuracy of key metrological measures.
C++, MFC, STL, and Win32 SDK are required.
Masters of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Computer Information Systems required.
